Ran out of bread? No money? Some extra vegan parmesan in the fridge? Great! Bake this beautiful, delicious parmesan bread.
Vegan parmesan bread
- 1 bag of dry yeast
- 3.5 dl water
- 0.5 tbsp salt
- 7+ dl wheat flour
- ~ 1.5 dl Violife vegan parmesan
- Add the dry yeast to luke warm water. Add the salt. Add the wheat flour in parts and knead the dough. The dough should be soft but firm. Add in the grated parmesan. Let the dough rise for about 60 minutes.
- Knead the dough for a while and mould it into the shape you desire your bread to be. Move the dough on a parchment paper, and spread some oil on the surface. Sprinkle some leftover parmesan on top, and make holes into the bread with a fork.
- Bake the bread at 225°C for about 25 minutes. Before baking, pour about 1 dl of water on the bottom of your oven. The steam will make your bread crust crunchy.
I love bread and I swear this is the best bread I have ever made. Definitely going to bake it another time. Some vegan butter on top and voila! Simple and delicious. But beware, the whole loaf will be gone in seconds.
